Hoover Damn/Boulder City -
About an hour east of Las Vegas is Boulder City! A small town known for the Hoover Damn! Here you can take tours of the damn, get some great views of (what is left) of Lake Mead. After the visiting the Damn, head into town and swing by any of the small shops or our favorite restaurant, Cornish Pasty Company!
Floyd Lamb Park -
Head to Floyd Lamb Park to enjoy some of the small spring-fed lakes! Watch the geese, ducks, and peafowl or walk around and explore! There is a $10 entrance fee. (This is also where all our pictures on this website were taken!)
Mt. Charleston & Lee Canyon -
The beautiful Mt. Charleston has some gorgeous views! Take a drive to the top to get a view of the valley (no you can't see the strip but it is gorgeous!) About an hour north of Mt. Charleston is Lee Canyon! Take a trip up to the ski resort and hit the slopes or look out for wild horses!
Pop Stroke -
This mini golf course is designed to be more challenging, but is family friendly! It is outdoors. Best time to go is in the morning before the crowds and before the heat!
Valley of Fire -
Located an hour outside of Las Vegas, this stunning National Park is great if you want a scenic drive, to hike or stop and have a picnic! There is a fee and no National Parks passes work here!
Red Rock Canyon -
30 min outside of Summerlin, beautiful trails, and a gorgeous scenic drive! There are also ranches near by who do horse back riding through the National Park!
Swingers Las Vegas -
A adults only, indoor golf course at MGM! Live DJ, drinks, amazing staff and most importantly....AIR CONDITIONING!
Area 15 -
We highly recommend Meow Wolf, Omega Mart located at Area 15! You can spend all day exploring the inside, taking fun pictures, and putting together the mystery! Best time to go is when it first opens before crowds show up! If you are feeling up for some horror, check out Universal Horrors Unleashed, also at Area 15!
Arte Museum -
Check out this interactive Korean Museum! Every room is something new! Lots of amazing photo ops and great for all ages!
Springs Preserve -
Check out the gorgeous gardens, and museums at Springs Preserve! Learn all about Las Vegas! Don't forget to stop by the Nevada State Museum on the grounds!
Arts District -
Head to the arts district for some interesting shops, bars, and some yummy food! While there if you are feeling up to it, swing by Koolsville for the famous $10 tattoo! (ones of Carrie's favorite places!)
